Well its been a long time since Liz or I have made a post on this blog. I'm sorry. Mostly to my siblings who live far away from us. Both Liz and I have been so crazy busy with Livvy, school, work, church, and everything. Its taken some serious adjusting with this new schedule of trading off. It seems like when Liz and I are together, we are so busy catching up on chores and sleep that we never see each other.
It has been a great six months though... Livvy is now six months old. She is still just as strong as ever! She is scooting around the house pretty good-Mogli Style. She still doesn't sleep through the night, but usually she just wakes up once around 3am. Which isn't bad compared to how she used to be.. She still takes those kid-e-col drops every day and it has made all the difference. She is a different baby than the first four months. We are pretty religious about giving them to her. If she doesn't get them- Look out! -I love this picture, its the best!
I have been watching her most mornings while Liz works. A friend of ours watches her when I go to class on MWF mornings. Then Liz gets home about 3pm and takes her while I go to school. Im usually there until 10 or 11 at night. Its a hard schedule for the two of us, but seems to be working. And we still get great health ins. through Lizzys work.
Im still doing work here and there for friends and people I know. That is actually working out really well with our crazy schedules... planning my own hours. It seems like I have just the right amount of work too. When I get done with a job, a friend, or someone always calls with something small enough that I can get a bid on.
This summer was a lot of fun. We climbed Kings Peak again! That was one of our big trips for the year. We went with my family. Angie and her two boys, Travis, Rod, and Liz and I. It was a blast but we definitely have forgotten how hard that trip is. We did about 33 miles in three days. The terrain really wears on ya. We are going to try to do it every 5 year anniversary. We were up there on our first and our fifth! Liz is going to lose her big toenail. I think coming down put too much pressure on her feet, it turned black. We were pretty sore after that one. I got a new pack not long before the trip and it made all the difference, and Liz got a new Gore-tex jacket for her b-day this month. We are excited for the chance when we can take Livvy with us on our next big adventure.. We are still deciding on a kid carrier pack??
I went to the BYU game with my Dad last night. It was a lot of fun going with him again. He was released from the stake presidency after 12 yrs? out in Tooele, just this summer. I'm glad. And Liz finally finished her super-saturday thing she has been working on nonstop for the past month. She really puts in her overtime with that stuff. Im glad this weekend was a success.
That's not everything, but at least something... Lizzy will be proud.
Pictures always tell a better story anyway:
